PayIt, an alumnus of the inaugural Pure Pitch Rally cohort in 2016, parlayed its perfected pitch into a sizeable investment.
Insight Partners, a New York-based venture capital and private equity firm, provided a capital injection of more than $100 million in March 2019.
PayIt, led by CEO John Thompson, is a govtech solution whose app allows residents to perform certain actions digitally, such as renewing driver’s licenses and vehicle registration or updating vital records. The startup had previously received investment from the KCRise Fund.
PayIt was chosen as one of Startland News’ Top Kansas City Startups to Watch in 2018 and was named to the list of Top 10 Government Technology Startups of the Year 2018 by Government CIO Outlook.
