Clara Biotech, a 2019 Pure Pitch Rally alumnus, recently joined forces with InnovaPrep, a local leader in biotech. According to Jim West, co-founder of Clara Biotech, the deal came to fruition as their team was considering a potential merger or acquisition with another company, but this opportunity represented a better fit for the business’s unique niche.
In 2021, Clara Biotech was one of the first startups to complete BioTools Innovator’s accelerator program. Now, West has joined the company as associate director and sees the role as an opportunity to assist the company on its path to success, recognizing its full potential within the biotech ecosystem.
