The start of 2026 is bringing fresh fuel to innovative founders in Kansas City. Two Pure Pitch Rally alumni — SiteScan and BeAligned —were recently selected for Digital Sandbox KC’s Q4 2025 cohort, securing proof-of-concept funding aimed at helping high-potential technologies move from development to real-world adoption.

Digital Sandbox KC backs startups that are closing real gaps in the market, and SiteScan fits squarely in that mission. Founded by Ian Foster, the company is bringing AI image-recognition software to one of the most overlooked areas of infrastructure: sewer inspection. By automating how issues are identified and graded, SiteScan replaces slow, manual processes with faster, more consistent insights.

On a very different front, BeAligned centers on how adults show up in moments that shape children’s lives. Founded by Trina Nudson, BeAligned draws on more than 25 years of experience working within complex family and social systems. The platform helps adults pause, reconnect to their values and respond more intentionally during high-stress situations, resulting in clearer communication and healthier outcomes for children and families.

The Digital Sandbox KC program provides founders with hands-on support along with up to $20,000 in project funding. Beyond the capital, participating startups gain access to the Technology Venture Studio community, experienced mentors, investor connections and technical project resources. For Pure Pitch Rally alumni like SiteScan and BeAligned, this combination of funding and ecosystem support helps startups gain traction and gives founders the relationships, guidance and technical resources needed to build sustainable companies.
