Zuture has an issued U.S. utility patent and has confirmed with the FDA that Zuture is Class 1 exempt, meaning it has no regulatory hurdles to go to market. It is considered similar to a butterfly bandage because there is no trauma and none of the device is below the skin. We are working on getting traction in the professional medical arena and are developing a direct to customer/first aid product.

I would appreciate your thoughts and help with developing the first aid device. My plan for that would include zip ties so no sewing knowledge is needed. There are two large challenges with first aid: 1) getting the word out about Zuture and getting people to buy and want to use it and 2) making it clear that deep wounds require cleaning and care beyond what Zuture can provide. Zuture is great for skin but if there is a vessel, tendon or organ damaged, then surgical intervention is necessary. If there is dirt or contamination in the wound, this needs to be cleaned to avoid trapping infection under the skin.

Imagine yourself as a homebuyer looking to get a mortgage with less than 20% down payment. You are required to pay private mortgage insurance, but you cannot shop for it; only the mortgage lender can shop on your behalf. Some lenders are not shopping all of the mortgage insurance companies because they may get certain favors from the private mortgage insurance companies such as dinners, concert tickets, etc. If lenders aren’t shopping for all providers, the homebuyers aren’t guaranteed to have the lowest mortgage insurance. How would you solve this problem for future homebuyers?

There are other types of insurance products such as title insurance that buyers can typically shop for, but traditionally buyers don’t do their shopping due to not knowing where to start. Also, many realtors/mortgage lenders get kickbacks from title companies so the realtors typically just tell the buyers to go to a certain title company and homebuyers just sign without even understanding what they are signing for and that they have options to shop. How would you solve for this?
