Noonan, the patent-pending digital caddie platform developed by the team behind Albatross Golf, is aiming well under par after hitting the stage at the 2023 Pure Pitch Rally.

Originally created to help retain golfers at the team’s indoor golf franchise, GolfTRK, the platform quickly outgrew its original purpose. Founders Matt Williams, Alex Reed, Sam Collins and Paul Buonopane soon realized they had tapped into a high-growth opportunity at the intersection of golf and technology — and the market was ready.

Following strong validation at the 2024 PGA Merchandise Show, the Albatross team closed a $675,000 seed round in December, thanks in part to the Kansas Angel Investor Tax Credit program. Earlier in the year, Noonan also earned a $20,000 award from Digital Sandbox KC, helping fuel its product development and early launch efforts.

“A lot of 2024 was about identifying our market position and the essence of what Albatross and its subsidiary programs represent,” Reed said.

“With Noonan and GolfTRK, we have this massive potential to satisfy that growing demand from people who are like us — looking for that avid experience,” Williams added.

Now unified under the Albatross Golf umbrella, Noonan and GolfTRK are working in tandem to create a seamless experience for avid golfers. In early 2025, the team is set to open its second GolfTRK location in Overland Park and has already signed four franchise partners. Their sights are set on hitting 10,000 Noonan users and $1 million in revenue in the platform’s first year on the market.

“Golf is at this tipping point where — without a doubt — it’s the most popular it’s ever been in its history,” he said. “COVID had a huge impact on introducing people to the game, but now they are graduating past that entertainment, recreational-type experience and becoming serious golfers.”
